The Simple Past tense is used to talk about actions or events that happened at a specific time in the past. It helps us describe completed activities clearly.

  • Form: Subject + past verb (regular verbs add-ed, irregular verbs change form).
      • Example: I visited the museum last weekend.
    • Time expressions: Words like yesterday, last year, two days ago, in 2020 show when the event happened.
